What Next Owner is
- Next Owner is a marketplace where private owners sell their cars directly to buyers in the UAE. We provide the tools: listings, buyer checks, offers, viewings and a transfer checklist.
- We are not the buyer or seller of any car and we are not a party to any sale. We do not inspect, own or guarantee cars unless you separately order an inspection, which is covered by its own terms.
- Listing a car is free for now. We will tell you before introducing any fee, and fees will never apply to a sale already agreed.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over, able to enter contracts in the UAE, and sign in with an email address you control. One person, one account.
- Trade buyers (dealers and traders) must register as trade accounts. Sellers decide whether to accept offers from them.
Selling
- You may only list a car that is registered in your name, or that you are legally authorised to sell, and that you have the right to transfer.
- Your listing must be accurate and honest, including mileage, specification, accidents, modifications and any finance owed on the car. Photos must be of the actual car.
- Accepting an offer means you agree, in principle, to sell at that price subject to a viewing, test and RTA transfer. Please only accept offers you intend to honour.
Buying
- Offers are serious. Only make an offer you are able and willing to pay, in the way and time you stated.
- Turn up to viewings you book or cancel them in the app. Missed viewings appear on your track record.
- Inspect the car, check its history and complete the transfer through the RTA or the relevant authority before paying in full.
Zero tolerance for abuse
- You must not post or send anything fraudulent, misleading, offensive, discriminatory, threatening, sexual or illegal, or harass, spam or impersonate anyone.
- You must not use Next Owner to collect other people’s details, to advertise other services, or to get around our buyer checks.
- Report anything that breaks these rules from the listing or offer. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, restrict or close accounts, and inform the authorities.
- You can block anyone. Blocked people cannot see your cars, make you offers or book viewings with you.
Payments between users
Unless a feature in the app says otherwise, money for a car passes directly between buyer and seller, not through Next Owner. Never pay a deposit to someone you have not met or before seeing the car and its registration.
Your content
You keep ownership of your photos and text. You give us a licence to host, display and resize them to run and promote your listing while it is on Next Owner.
Liability
- We work hard to keep Next Owner accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We are not responsible for the condition of any car, the conduct of any user, or a sale that does not go ahead.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently AED 0).
Closing accounts
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where possible.
Law and contact
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE, and disputes go to the courts of Dubai.
